All Are Welcome

The sign in front of our church reads "ALL ARE WELCOME.”  This simple message is a constant reminder to us of the good news that Jesus Christ welcomes us into relationship with God and one another. So, YOU are welcome to join us to discover and employ your gifts in service to Christ and the world God loves.

This year’s Advent theme is “Refine” drawn from Malachi 3:2-3. This Advent, we will look at how God has refined God’s people in our scripture tradition–from prophets to Gospels to Epistles. We will also ask the question, how will God continue to refine us? How will God shape us and mold us and make us until we reflect more and more of the fingerprints of the expert blacksmith? This Advent may we be refined until we shine with righteousness, presenting ourselves as an offering before our God.

Join us for our Moravian Love Feast gathering December 18th in the Fellowship Hall. We will share sweet buns and sweet coffee as we sing Christmas carols and share stories. This very informal service is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with your church family in an intimate setting (plus, request carols you may not hear in Sunday worship).

Following Advent through Easter, our sermons will focus on the question “Who do you say that I am?” The question, posed by Jesus to his disciples, beckons us to look closer at Jesus the Christ: miracle worker, son of Mary, Son of God, healer, teacher, preacher, prophet, enemy of the state, savior…who do we say that he is?
